HELLP Syndrome: pre-eclampsia's more deadly sister

Have you heard of HELLP Syndrome?


HELLP, an acronym for Hemolysis, Elevated Liver enzymes and Low Platelets Syndrome is a type of pre-eclampsia that is even more life-threatening for both mother and child. The complication usually occurs during the later stages of pregnancy, or soon after childbirth.


Rhona Rwangyezi-Grimm shares her experience with HELLP syndrome in this vlog, with the the hope that she will raise awareness that can save the life of a mom, and/or a baby.
